I have been lucky to fuse my passion for travel with my studies, jobs, and research. I have had the fortune to travel through 45 countries and to live and study in four (Bolivia, Chile, Spain, and the United States). As a political scientist, I have been lucky to conduct field research in the United States, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, and Chile. Before coming to the United States to do a Ph.D. in Political Science, I worked for six-and-a-half years as a journalist in Chile and Spain. That experience allowed me to cover political events in Chile, Spain, Argentina, Belgium, Haiti, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Venezuela. The visits to all the other countries have been exclusively for pleasure.
